Ok, so no photos of us as kids, yet, but here are some photos of us on trip to Europe in 2009. You guys know we love to travel, and this was our first time in Belgium, and my first time going to France. Pictures after the jump
Here's me eating pickled herring in Amsterdam. This is the kind of thing that makes me happiest.
Here's one of our favorite breweries, Brau T'ij. It's in Amsterdam, inside a windmill!
Here's a map of Amsterdam, a plate of cheese and sausage and a Brau T'ij beer. Perfect.
OK, more food photos! We took this in a country town in Belgium. The town is home to the De Dolle Brewery, also a great one. Here's a pate that they make with their beer mixed in.
Here's Scott on the patio, stoked.
A few days later we rode bikes from Brugge to a seaside town named Oostende. It was really far! It was a great ride, though.
You can see how tired I was when we arrived.
They do this to a lot of trees in Brugge. It looks eerie.
Here's Scott with a trove of beer that we bought at the Drie Fonteinen Brewery. It's in Beersel, which has a castle. There's a drawing of it on the box.
We took the exceedingly crowded and cramped train from Brussels to Paris. We rented a flat which was near Notre Dame.
We were there in April and the flowers were truly amazing.
I couldn't stop taking pictures of them.
This was a typical afternoon, especially because Paris is so expensive! Why eat in a restaurant if you could just eat cheese by the Seine? The weather was gorgeous and sometimes it seemed that everyone in France was basking in the sun on the banks.
Check back soon!
