some pictures...

Hi everyone!  Wow, words can't really describe how happy, touched, and elated our wedding made us.  I figure most of you will probably only check this one or two more times, so I'll try to get a last post with a ton of  pictures up.  This is all I have so far, but Uncle Mike and our friend Jesse took a bunch so more to come.  I apologize that everything is out of order.

last minute stuff

Some of you guys may be wondering: what does this Verge place look like?  Here's a picture of the outside, at the corner of 6th and S.  You can see it has a somewhat small sign.  The entrance for the wedding will be to the left of this.  Street parking is free after 6, so bring some quarters for the meters just for the first hour of the wedding. There is also a big lot around the back of the verge where you will be able to park, although you'll have to walk around the other side to enter.

And, again, if it wasn't clear from the invitation, beer, wine, snacks, and mingling start at 5pm, ceremony at 6.

Tomorrow is our big cleanup and decorate day and we're really excited that it's finally happening!  Thank you in advance to all of our friends who have helped so much.  We are truly touched and honored.

Shameful/funny photos

Although my days of catching bouquets are over, I love to try. I think I have caught maybe 4 or 5 over the years? When our friends Ella and Willy got married by the river, she threw the bouquet and I caught it. But there was a bit more to it than that, as you can see. Can't wait to throw my own! Get ready, ladies!

Honeymoon?

Quite a few people have asked me about honeymoon plans. We would like to spend about a week in Mazatlan. We can't go right away because we just got back from a rather long vacation. But luckily the best times to visit Mazatlan are November through about April or May. Otherwise, it's too hot! And around June the stinging jellyfish show up en masse. Scott and I have gone to Mazatlan a few times, but haven't been together for a few years, so we're raring to go back. The beach is beautiful, the food is good, the water is warm and calm, we can stay with a friend in her beautiful house built in the 1800s, and we can visit with my mom, too. Perfect!  Contributions would be A-OK.

We're back!

We're back from our pre-wedding vacation! It was a blast.  We were in Oslo, Norway for their National Day, which is like their 4th of July and is their biggest civic holiday.  Everyone dresses in traditional costumes and all the kids parade.

The Gift Question

OK, so a big question: gifts.  We have most of what we need for our house, thanks to generous family members and lots of thrifting, but for the few things we do need/want, we are registered at macys.com, under Becky Grunewald or Scott Miller.

We are planning on a short Mexican honeymoon, hopefully this fall, so if you'd like to contribute to that, there is a paypal button at right.  If you're not into paypal, there will be a good old-fashioned jar at the wedding.
